Brian Smeeton

Brian lives and works on Exmoor and has a love for the area. His book, "Esra Grumpwolf of Haddon" is a compliment to Exmoor's beauty. Brians second of the Esra stories is well underway... it's called "The Timewell Wolf" and he hopes to finish it soon.

Brian says: Esra is essentially a story for children and can easily be read by young people between the ages of 6 to 13 but I wrote this with adults reading to children in mind - so the older readers will certainly appreciate aspects of the story that the younger ones may not get. Some of the character names also occur in another book that I had previously written called "The Last Green Man" which I am currently expanding and of course the same characters will re-occur in the follow on to the Esra story which is called "The Timewell Wolf" - this will be released in Spring 2014.

If you ever visit Exmoor you will be able to see the same places that have inspired me for many years - you may even be able to pick out the Esra trail...but be careful, you never know what, or who, you'll see in the Woods!
